On September 3, China will maintain what official sources are calling a “large army parade” to mark the eightieth anniversary of Victory Day – the day Beijing commemorates the formally give up of Japan and the tip of World Battle II. For China, the give up of Japan marked the tip to the for much longer “Battle of Resistance Towards Japanese Aggression,” which started with the invasion of Manchuria in 1931.
