Group Mexico edged nearer to qualifying for the following spherical after a second consecutive win within the 2026 World Baseball Basic. Mexico thumped Brazil 16-0 on Sunday evening in a robust offensive show.
The win was anchored by Mexican outfielder Julian Ornelas. The 30-year-old outfielder, born and bred in Mexico, has been one of many largest names within the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) for the Diablos Rojos del Mexico.
