James Gunn stepped into some scorching water with followers when he selected to recast Superman for his new DC Studios relaunch. Whereas Henry Cavill’s efficiency because the Man of Metal was broadly appreciated—regardless of the movies themselves being divisive—Gunn’s resolution to maneuver in a brand new route raised eyebrows. That stated, his selection of David Corenswet to don the cape has largely paid off. Corenswet has earned reward from each followers and critics, probably setting the stage for a long term within the new DCU.
