Ludovic Marin/AFP/Getty Pictures The bells of Notre Dame Cathedral rang on Saturday night in Paris for the primary time since a hearth devastated the Paris landmark in 2019.

Paris Archbishop Laurent Ulrich started the ceremony by knocking 3 times on the cathedral's door along with his employees, referred to as a crozier, which was created from one of many burned beams of the cathedral's roof.

The ceremony to mark the cathedral's return to spiritual providers was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and a whole lot of dignitaries, together with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, first woman Jill Biden, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the U.Okay.'s Prince William.

The cathedral's restoration and return to service after 5 years has been a hit for Macron, who has had current political difficulties.
