Mayor Karen Bass issued a curfew for downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday “to cease the vandalism, to cease the looting.”
She stated in a information convention that she had declared a neighborhood emergency and that the curfew will run from 8 p.m. Tuesday till 6 a.m. Wednesday.
“We reached a tipping level” after 23 companies have been looted, Bass stated.
The curfew can be in place in a 1 sq. mile (2.59 sq. kilometer) part of downtown that features the realm the place protests have occurred since Friday. Town of Los Angeles encompasses roughly 500 sq. miles (2,295 sq. kilometers).
