The U.S. Division of Transportation may have to shut “sure components of the airspace” if the longest authorities shutdown on report continues into subsequent week, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stated Tuesday.
“You will note mass flight delays, you will see mass cancellations,” Duffy stated at a press convention in Washington, D.C. “And you might even see us shut sure components of the airspace as a result of we simply can’t handle it, as a result of we do not have the air site visitors controllers.”
