Indian Individuals cheered, and New Delhi appeared absolutely invested within the Trump presidency. Trump’s reputation in India eclipsed that of his successor Joe Biden and even Biden’s vice chairman, Kamala Harris, who’s herself of Indian ancestry. Trump’s re-election in 2024 thus appeared like the start of a brand new, stronger chapter in India-U.S. relations.
