An immigration operation in Los Angeles involving brokers with Immigration and Customs Enforcement led to dozens of arrests on Friday, which spurred large-scale and tense protests all through town.
CBS Information Los Angeles discovered that ICE performed raids within the Westlake District, downtown L.A. and South L.A. on Friday. In accordance with an ICE spokesperson, as many as 118 arrests have been made in L.A. this week, which incorporates 44 in these operations on Friday.
“ICE officers and brokers alongside associate regulation enforcement companies, executed 4 federal search warrants at three areas in central Los Angeles,” the spokesperson, Yasmeen Pitts O’Keefe,  stated. “Roughly 44 individuals had been administratively arrested and one arrest for obstruction. The investigation stays ongoing, updates will comply with as acceptable.”
