Blunt, a former justice minister, was arrested on suspicion of rape in October 2023 whereas nonetheless serving as an MP for Reigate in Surrey. On the time, Blunt stated he was interviewed twice and arrested the second time: “The arrest was pointless as I stay able to cooperate totally with the investigation that I’m assured will finish with out cost.”
