Search and rescue crews are persevering with efforts in Northern California’s Nevada County after an avalanche was reported late Tuesday morning. Six backcountry skiers survived however 9 stay unaccounted for, authorities stated.
The Nevada County Sheriff’s Workplace stated the avalanche was reported close to Fort Peak round 11:30 a.m. amid a heavy snowstorm that has stored each Interstate 80 and Freeway 50 on the summit.
